About the service
Fiberglass nail extensions use fiberglass strands, a material known for high resistance and durability. Widely used elsewhere, in the nail world we apply it as an extender to lengthen the nails while keeping a natural appearance.
Fiberglass extensions are the most technical service in the studio and the one that needs the longest conversation before booking. Fiberglass is a light, very resistant material that works as an extender: it creates the base over which the gel is shaped, letting you gain length with a visibly thinner nail than methods that rely on gel in a form alone.
The first application starts with a genuine assessment of the natural nail, because the achievable length depends on the size of the nail bed, the thickness of the plate and your daily routine. People who type a lot, care for small children or work with their hands are usually happier with a moderate length. After the assessment comes preparation, fiberglass application, the gel structure, filing to draw the chosen shape, and the finish.
Extensions are an ongoing maintenance service, not a one-off visit. Every 15 to 21 days the base grows out and has to be rebuilt to keep the structure supported; if that visit is delayed too long, the risk of breakage and lifting rises. It is worth weighing that commitment before starting, which is why pricing and times are agreed on WhatsApp only after we understand the length and shape you want.

Aftercare
- Take the first few days slowly with the new length: typing, keys and zips all need a different gesture.
- Wear gloves for anything involving hot water or cleaning products.
- Never use your nails to apply force, pry things open or scrape anything.
- If a nail breaks or cracks, do not cut or file it at home: send a photo on WhatsApp so we can assess the repair.
- Moisturise the cuticle every day, since healthy growth supports the structure better.
- Do not let the maintenance interval slip: an overgrown base is the main cause of breakage.
